Bahai Temple on Kikaya Hill in Uganda's capital, Kampala
The Bahai Temple on Kikaaya hill is known as the Mother Temple of Africa. It is one of the many houses of worship for people of different religious persuasions in Uganda; and signifies the religious heteregeneity and tolerance of the country. The Temple, built in the late 1950s early 1960s,  sits on 52 acres of land. It features a 130-foot  dome  and is 44 feet wide. The round-dome sits comfortably with local African architecture, inspired by the African hut.
