Maj. (Rtd) Awich Pollar Okwir, Director External Affairs in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party paid a courtesy call on the High Commission on 5^th May 2024.

The Director was in New Delhi at the invitation of the BJP, the ruling party in India.

Prof. Kikafunda receives Maj. Okwir at the High Commission

During the visit, Maj. (Rtd) Awich Pollar Okwir held discussions with H.E Prof. Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda, interacted with Mission staff and briefed on NRM - BJP relations within the broader context of Uganda - India relations. He was later hosted to a working dinner at ITC Maurya Luxury Hotel.
