H.E. Prof. Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda, Uganda High Commissioner to Bangladesh hosted Ugandan students to a working dinner on Friday 18th October 2024. The students were led by Dr. Umar Tumwesigye, the Academic Registrar at BRAC University. In attendance were over 20 students from three universities: the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), and BRAC University.

H.E Prof. Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda hosted a reception on 6th November 2024 at ICT Maurya  Hotel, in celebration of Uganda's 62nd Independence day.

The colorful occasion was graced by Sri Damu Ravi, Secretary Economic Affairs in the Ministry of External Affairs; Hon. Okasai Opolot, Minister of State for Energy, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Senior Officials from the Government of India, Captains of Industry, Friends of Uganda, Members of the Uganda Diaspora, ET al.

Diplomacy is often referred to as the art by which nations, groups, or individuals conduct their affairs, in ways to safeguard their interests and promote their political, economic and cultural relations.

Cultural diplomacy in particular is a type of soft power that includes the exchange of ideas, information, art, language and other aspects of culture among nations and their peoples in order to foster mutual understanding.

H.E. Prof Joyce Kakuramasti Kikafunda, on 24^th April 2024, received H.E Kshenuka Dhireni Senewiratne, High Commissioner to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Republic of India, who had paid a courtesy visit to Uganda High Commission in New Delhi.

Her Excellency Prof. Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uganda designate to the Republic of Singapore presented her Letters of Credence to Her Excellency Madam Halimah Yacob, the President of the Republic of Singapore on 25^th July 2023 at a colorful ceremony held at The Istana (Presidential Palace).

The ceremony started with the customary inspection of the Presidential Guard of Honor and Salute at Istana grounds.

Maj. (Rtd) Awich Pollar Okwir, Director External Affairs in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party paid a courtesy call on the High Commission on 5^th May 2024.

The Director was in New Delhi at the invitation of the BJP, the ruling party in India.

Indian business delegation completes successful visit to Uganda.

A 30-member delegation led by Mr. Dammu Ravi, Secretary for Economic Relations in the Ministry of External Affairs and comprising leading Indian companies from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) visited Uganda from 8^th – 9^th April 2024.
