H.E. Prof. Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda, Uganda High Commissioner to Bangladesh hosted Ugandan students to a working dinner on Friday 18th October 2024. The students were led by Dr. Umar Tumwesigye, the Academic Registrar at BRAC University. In attendance were over 20 students from three universities: the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), and BRAC University.

Fresh off of presenting credentials to the President of Bangladesh on 17th October 2024, the High Commissioner assured the Students of continued support from the High Commission through the Honorary Consul Mr. Hossein Abdul and more regular visits from the High Commission staff. Cognisant that the students are in differenc universities, the High Commissioner further advised that they form an association and appoint a leader through whom communication with the High Commission can be channelled for better coordination.

The students expressed their appreciation for the working dinner and congratulated the High Commissioner upon the presentation of credentials.
