Hon. Kiryowa Kiwanuka, Attorney General of the Republic of Uganda paid a courtesy call on the High Commissioner, H.E Prof. Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda on 6^th February 2024 at Uganda High Commission offices in Vasant Vihar, New Delhi.

The Attorney General was in India to attend the Commonwealth Legal Education Association (CLEA) – Commonwealth Attorneys and Solicitors General Conference (CASGC) 2024 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The Conference gathered Attorney and Solicitor Generals, other members of the legal and judicial community and legal scholars from the Commonwealth nations to deliberate on important issues pertaining to Justice, Law, Ethics, Accountability and Education under the theme “Cross-Border Challenges in Justice Delivery”.

During the meeting, the two Principals deliberated on the strategic importance of strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Uganda and India in view of the former assuming the Chairmanship of the Non-Allied Movement (NAM) and the latter having until recently been Chair of the G20.
